Learn and Get Inspired
As the private-independent school sector continues to transform, it’s important to balance learning and implementing new strategies while maintaining the best practices that have long been our foundation. ISM Summer Institute workshops offer relevant and timely content to keep you updated on the latest research, school management approaches, edtech tools, and academic pedagogies in the private-independent school community.
Some of our featured workshops this year include:
Transformative Academic Leadership: In this workshop, participants will explore and refine their leadership strengths, uncover limiting blind spots, and gain practical tools to take their leadership to the next level and enhance their school’s culture.
Chairing Your Department: The First Five Years: Department chairs will learn to bolster their leadership capabilities, sharpen communication skills, confidently manage teams, and support their school’s long-term goals.
Change Management: Balancing Transformation Alongside Tradition: How can school leaders build capacity for change in their schools and facilitate change at the rate their schools can manage? Two current Heads of School tackle these questions and more in this workshop.
How to Implement Transformative Faculty Growth and Evaluation: This is one of our most popular workshops where school leaders learn how best to foster a culture where faculty thrive and feel secure enough to take the risks necessary for true professional growth.
Build Lasting Relationships
Teamwork has always been a core value for ISM, and collaboration and relationship building are central to our learning events. Network with school leaders and academic professionals from around the globe as we share the unique experiences from our private-independent school communities.
