Dosomething.org hosted a Green Your School Challenge last year. 5,404 schools and 141,000 students from all over the country participated. Areas of competition included recycling, energy saving, and green agriculture.

Get your school ready! This year’s competition begins on February 1 and continues through April 30, 2013. Schools will be judged in overall impact, participation, creativity, completed projects, and behavior change. Prizes include scholarships and green grants. For a full roster of registration guidelines and project ideas visit dosomething.org.

Other great resources provided by dosomething.org: The Bully Text A game that teaches students what role they can take to end bullying.

Give a Spit A campaign to help limit blood cancer’s reach.

50 Cans Running through December 18, this campaign challenges students to collect a minimum of 50 aluminum cans. Students who enter and share the facts with at least six friends will be entered to win a $5,000 scholarship.
