Attention science lovers: The EPA recently released a report on 2012 Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions from large facilities around the nation. It is important to note that this report does not reflect total US GHG emissions, but yet demonstrates findings based on reporting facilities.

The EPAs FLIGHT site (GHG emissions report site) is an interactive map that can be filtered to show onshore oil and gas production plants, emitters, suppliers, local distribution companies, and CO2 injections. You can sort by city, region, or general data type to see a national overview. If you’re interested in seeing what’s in your own backyard, or if you’re buddies with your school’s science teachers, this site is worth taking a few minutes to explore.
